A transaction by which the Buyer takes the vessel on Bareboat Charter from the Seller, with commonly balloon payments at the start and or end of the charter period. Title for the vessel will pass to the charterer on completion of the Bareboat period.
A vessel that is not in active service and may be awaiting better markets, fitting out, or work needed for classification.
