A Capesize Bulker has a size range between 120,000 and 450,000 DWT. The typical size is 180,000 DWT however most Newbuild orders are now 208,000 DWT. They are too wide for the Panama canal and usually carry coal, ore and other raw materials.
A vessel that is not in active service and may be awaiting better markets, fitting out, or work needed for classification.
