Selective Catalytic Reduction. Injects urea into the exhaust gas to reduce NOx. The urea reacts in the exhaust heat to produce ammonia, which in turn reacts with the NOx to break it down into nitrogen and water.
A vessel that is not in active service and may be awaiting better markets, fitting out, or work needed for classification.
